Sewer Line Inspections
Do you need a sewer line inspection? If your property is older or has had drain problems, it's always a good idea.
Several characteristics of older homes make an inspection particularly critical:
Older homes have lines made of clay tile or cast iron which are more susceptible to damage over time then newer plastics
Tree roots and settling of soils over time can break pipes open, allowing the contents to leak into the soil. Roots can also get into piping, causing an obstruction and blocking the drainage
Collapsing or offset pipes can cause an obstruction clogging the drain
Sewer line repairs can get expensive, so the time to find out if there are issues may be at the time of purchase of the home. The cost is very reasonable and allows peace of mind.
